She writes gentle, hopeful fantasy filled with magic, romance, and small-town charm.
What began as teenage poetry scribbled in notebooks grew into a lifelong passion for storytelling. After studying Creative Writing at university, Jessica faced the harsh realities of traditional publishing. Rejections piled up and she came close to walking away from writing altogether.
Instead of giving up, she discovered the world of independent publishing. This opened the door to share the stories she loved without waiting for permission. Her debut, The Queen’s Dark Ambition, A Gritty Young Adult Fantasy Novel, she first started as a university project over a decade ago, marked the beginning of her indie journey...
Today, Jessica writes in the delightful intersection of fantasy and cosy fiction. She is creating a warm, magical small town that blends Mediterranean beaches and sunshine with gentle old world/fantasy. Her stories offer readers a comforting escape, romantic without being overwrought, fantastical yet believable, and filled with the quiet magic that hides just around the corner.

Writing has never been easy. Jessica lives with regular migraines that can disrupt even the best writing days. She has learned to work with her body rather than against it, creating a flexible schedule that honours both her health and her creativity...
When she is not writing, Jessica can usually be found doing something quietly creative: attempting beginner tap dance with cheerful awkwardness, playing with her cat, pottering in her garden, or reading fantasy novels on the beach.
She is happily socially inept, far more comfortable with fictional characters than networking events, and would always choose a peaceful walk in nature over a crowded room. She loves the freedom and space to think up her quirky characters and imaginary worlds.
Jessica writes because she loves it. There is no feeling quite like completing a story and sharing it with readers. Above all, she writes to bring joy, hope, and a sense of belonging to anyone who needs a gentle escape from the everyday world.
Her books are an invitation to slow down, to believe in hard-won happy endings, and to remember that even in difficult times, there is always room for a little magic and a lot of heart. She writes cosy because she knows how desperately it is needed in this world of fast-paced, always-on social media. Ever since reading Becky Chambers, she's been keen to explore and expand into cosy and character driven stories.
Welcome to her worlds. She hopes you feel at home here.
“A fiction writer is nothing more than the ambassador of an alternative world of their own design. Their success dwells in how many people their work entices to relocate.” – Carl Henegan (Darkness Left Undone)
